Starting Tomorrow,Tonight!

“Just be Prepared” they say...

Cute little pic from Pinterest!

Asslamu alaikum,

As I sit here, typing on my iPad and spinning in my chair, I’m reflecting on what really stood out for me this week.

I was tempted to skip writing this time.

But hey, here we are!

So, what’s on my mind?

I had a presentation this week.

Surprisingly, I wasn’t as nervous as I would’ve been a few years ago.

My body gave me some of the usual signs, but mentally, I felt so much calmer.

I remember being that younger version of myself who would get sick with nerves or tear up before presenting in class.

This time, it felt different.

What changed you may be wondering?

Preparation.

Preparation is the secret to success.

When you prep for your morning the night before, everything flows so much smoother.

Our day really starts the evening before.

Preparing for the day ahead cuts down all the last-minute scrambling.

On Sundays, I even plan my outfits for the week.

Why?

Because at 6 a.m., I don’t want to be half-awake, digging through my closet with a flashlight for leggings!

Right now, it’s 6:45 p.m., and it’s the perfect time to set myself up for tomorrow.

I encourage you to do the same.

Whether it’s a long, relaxing shower, finishing an application, or just winding down, take a few moments to remember Allah (SWT).

Pray Isha, set your alarm, have a light snack, and give yourself time to digest before bed.

I hope this resonates because we’re in this together, ladies.

I’m figuring things out as I go, and you’re right here with me — through the ups, downs, highs, and lows.

I’m here to share it all.

I want to leave you with this thought: Life is full of challenges, but we get to choose which challenges to take on.

Pick the one that gets you out of bed each morning, knowing you’ll make some progress.

Even if it’s just one small thing, doing something is always better than doing nothing.

And with that, I’ll wrap up my thoughts for today. I hope to see you next week, InshaAllah!

Barakallah feek,

Amal☺️
